I'm just rereading and revisiting this most incredible book. This book was given to me by a friend when i was dancing full time. I'm so happy to pick up this hard cover again, and turn the pages feeling this woman's energy in every word.
Martha Graham writes of her life, lovers, friends, her craft and sprinkles in her poetic musings on life and dance, which are at times almost as abstract and powerful as her dance images. This book was written shortly before her death.
READ IT, but here is an excerpt.
Fingers crossed, the judges like the film. Editing was finished just in time for submission!!!

....27 Sept is opening night and will be shown live on the screen outside of the opera house, also on the 3 big screens in Times Square. A new production directed by Robert Lepage, Levine conducting, Bryn as Wotan. I think there will be people flying around on wires, huge moving sets, lots of projections. Who ever thought Wagner would be in Times Square!!

I haven't seen Cynthia for years!! I think last time was on tour with ABT in Japan. She is in town to stage HKBallet's Sleeping Beauty, one of the more complex story ballets to stage. I'm meeting up with her this week for coffee and to catch up on everything happening in the ballet world. Looking forward to seeing final dress with my new ballet friend Ian Ng.
Here is her moment as Kitri.
I did a great voice workshop in NYC this summer and met some awesome people. My friend Liam is producing this very intense looking play.....just how far are you willing to go for the things you believe?
Go see it if you are in NYC
